A little help, when needed

Support and recovery

Start with the active account and the outcome shown in Activity. If a Gmail action has an uncertain result, check its state before attempting anything again.

Support email pending owner approval

Include app version, Android version, approximate time, the screen/action and the steps that failed. Use a test-account alias rather than an address where possible. Remove private email subjects and contents from screenshots. Never send passwords, access tokens or signing keys.

Scanning and saved results

Choose a cleanup profile on Home and explicitly start or continue a scan. A pull-to-refresh checks the connection; it does not start a full mailbox scan. Preliminary counts can change and cannot authorize Trash. Completed saved results remain navigable offline.

Recommended, Needs Review and Protected

Recommendations identify routine clutter using local rules and supporting signals. Needs Review requires your judgment. Protected records are excluded from recommendation and bulk selection. An individual protected override requires a deliberate choice and is clearly marked in the final review. Keeps remain respected; undo Keep before selecting that mail. The educational reminder can be restored in Settings.

Selection and deselection

Deselect recommended affects recommendations. Deselect filtered clears manual and recommended selections in the current view. Deselect all clears all selected messages. Selected counts include your manual choices; the final review may exclude messages that fail live Gmail checks.

Trash and Restore

Select mail, run the Gmail checks, verify the active account and review the final eligible/excluded counts before confirming Trash. Restore is available at the top of Activity for app-managed verified Trash batches while messages remain in Gmail Trash. Restore has separate consent. Gmail decides Trash retention, and restored label placement can differ from before cleanup.

Uncertain or interrupted actions

Do not repeat an uncertain write. Open Activity and use Check Gmail state. The recovery check reads Gmail without replaying a previous write. Keep the local journal until the outcome is resolved. Android force-stop interrupts work; reopening does not automatically repeat Gmail changes.

Unsubscribe pages

The app opens supported mailing-list pages or email drafts only after you choose a method. Some links are stale, generic or unsupported. You can report Completed, Failed or Not attempted, but the app does not verify whether future delivery has stopped. Do not enter account credentials on an unfamiliar sender page.

Remove local data or Google access

  1. If an operation is uncertain, first open Activity and check its Gmail state while the correct account is connected.
  2. Use Settings → Privacy and data to clear scans. This preserves account registration and durable safety history.
  3. Use Accounts to remove an account and its local records, or choose a full app reset when no unresolved operations remain.
  4. To stop Google access, remove the app from Google Account’s third-party connections. Revocation and local data removal are separate actions.

The app does not create a separate developer-operated user account. Removing local data or revoking access does not itself delete Gmail messages.

Controlled testing and feedback

Only use a build and invitation provided by the publisher. Public distribution and Google OAuth/Play review status must be confirmed separately. There is no public download link on this draft.

Begin with authorization, scanning and read-only review. For a Trash/Restore test, first consent to use five disposable messages in a dedicated test account. Verify the account, confirm Trash once, inspect Gmail, then confirm Restore separately and verify the result. Do not experiment with important personal mail.

To request a tester invitation or report an issue, use the support contact above. The publisher will supply any authorized test-track link after setup. A Google Play testing invitation does not automatically authorize restricted Gmail access.

Security reports

Contact Security contact pending owner approval with a concise reproduction using synthetic data. Stop testing if you find a possible cross-account action, protected-mail selection bypass, lost recovery history or uncertain writes being repeated. Do not send mailbox contents or credentials.
